So I finally used up the last of my Theraflu that had pseudoephedrine in it and the new stuff is absolutely worthless! I don't mind buying Sudafed from the pharmacist but is there a way to duplicate terrific formula that Theraflu originally had? Nothing else works as well...

Oh my gawd, you people are crazy! What part of "I have no problem buying legally" don't you understand?
Clue #1--If I've only just now used the last of the 'real' stuff, then I'm probably not making meth in my garage, bathtub or whatever and
Clue #2--I am looking for a suitable substitute and/or way to combine the what is available out there now for COLD SYMPTOM RELIEF!
I'm wondering what illegal substance is fueling your paranoia?

crush up one pseudoephedrine tablet, and one extra-strength tylenol and pour hot lemonade over it. Voila,Theraflu!

There was nothing, REPEAT NOTHING, special about Theraflu. It is the same tired old OTC ingredients just like every other remedy out there.

The warm liquids do help, make no mistake, but the drugs inside are nothing new.

What is the closest I can get to REAL Theraflu now that they took the Sudafed out?

You should be totally fine taking original Sudafed (that brand name - I wouldn't do generic, just because you never know). My doctor said Tylenol (reg. strength), Sudafed and Robitussin (regular) are all safe throughout pregnancy. I would check again while breastfeeding, if you want to know for sure - but I never had a problem and I nursed all of my babies. I am sure I took sudafed and tylenol at least 1 time with each of them while nursing. As with anything - only take what you need, if you absolutely have to. I tried to wait it out, but if I had a bad headache from a cold or something, then yeah - I took it as needed.

You can still find drugs with pseudoephedrine behind the counter.
Other drugs with the same combination of drugs, which are Chlorpheniramine maleate, Pseudoephedrine, and acetaminophen, as TheraFlu/Flu and Cold Medicine are Sinarest tablets, Sine-Off Sinus Medicine Caplets, Singlet for Adults, and Tylenol Allergy Sinus Medications. The issue is that the amount of drug is different.
Phenylephrine, what they've been using to replace pseudoephedrine, is worthless.

you can buy it legally behind the counter. There is no better decongestant than pseudoephedrine. They still make it but for how much longer?
