i could not understand y ... but yesterday i still could burn dvd but
today, the icon repretend my dvd rom dissapeard from my computer ...
i open the device manager and check ..
and it said
""Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.""
what should i do .. i using laptop .. and i don't know how to dvd rom away from my laptop ...
plz some1 help me

Try rebooting. It works for me.

OK, you say that the device drivers are loaded, but the device is not connected.

Make sure that if the DVD Drive is detachable, detach it, once it is safe to do so, then reattach it.

Rebooting may also help.

If no joy, right click My Computer, select manage, select Disk Management. The DVD Drive should be there. If it is, right click CD-ROM 0 (I know it is a DVD Drive), select Change Drive Letter and Paths. If there is no drive letter (i.e. D:), add one. If there is one, change it to drive X (X being any available letter in the list, apart from the one it was on)

try using the "longcut". Start>Programs>DVD/ Accessoties> etc
