The Great Gatsby is an awesome book. It's a classic and many people don't want to read it because they've heard it's dull, (and most of the first chapter is, which turns people off), but once you're past that, it is an amazing book. It's something that everyone can relate to- very inspiring..... one of those books you're still thinking about even after a week of finishing it.

I read the book "Three" by Ted Dekker not to long ago and it was excellent. I heard that they are going to make a movie out of the book in the next year or two. So if you are interested in books that turn into movies it's a great one to check out! It falls under the mystery, suspense genre. Highly recommend!

I just started reading the series "A Song of Ice and FIre" by George RR Martin after hearing rave reviews. It's fantasy that's plot is heavy on politics, which I find really interesting. The first book is called A Game of Thrones and is excellent.

Read Catcher in the Rye.
I have read it every year since 13 years ago and the meaning of the whole novel changes as you also grow older. It's a must really. And don't worry, it is an easy read, no fancy language and stuff. Just real good story.

If you like fantasy, I would suggest books by Tamora Pierce. She's a great fantasy writer! Also, The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner is pretty good and the first of a series.
I write book reviews and post them on my site, freewebs.com/thejellymushroom, and I update a lot. So you could also check there from time to time to read them.
