I would say Vince young should be rookie of the year. He is an exceptional player, and has the ability to make his whole team better. The Defense as well as the offense. he is also a great leader, and is making the same plays he did when he was in college. Without young the titans would not be 8-7, but even without Maurice Jones, who is clearly having the best season out of all the rookie backs, Jacksonville would still be 8-7. For a rookie QB to come in on a team such as tennessee who lack a lot of talanted players and do what Young has done, is truley amazing.

The Titans move up in the ratings as those early-season blowouts get smaller in the rearview mirror. But while their six-game win streak is inspiring, it isn't as impressive as you might think. The last five wins came by a touchdown or less. Compare this win streak to the one Miami had at the end of last year, which also had people all excited.

No. VY is a good rookie QB. Marques Colston is not just a good rookie WR, he is playing as well as Marvin Harrison. He is the most deserving OROY. Second place should be San Diego's left tackle, Marcus McNeil, but nobody watches line play anyway so nobody knows that he's a big part of the reason LaDanian Tomlinson is breaking touchdown records left and right. Maurice Jones-Drew is third, then Vince Young.

AFC Offensive Rookie of the Year: Vince Young
NFC Offensive Rookie of the Year: Marques Colston

Young took a bad team and Tennessee and single handedly turned them into a playoff contender. His QB rating may not be that good, but its his leadership that counts. Not only that, but he can use his feet when needed to help his team.

Colston is putting up record #s for a rookie, and this is after missing almost 3 full games with injuries. Bush is having a good season, but nothing truly spectacular that we havent seen out of a rookie before. Colston is setting rookie records as a WR, give credit where credit is due.

Everyone who asks these rookie of the year questions here seems to forgot that there are seperate awards for the AFC and NFC. There's no question that Vince Young will be the AFC offensive rookie of the year. He has made the Titans a close to playoff team and he has done so much for his team.

I think if there was an MVP for rookies, Vince Young would win it hands down, because he wins games for the Titans (see Texans and Giants games). But, his stats aren't as impressive as Jones-Drew's, so I don't know how they're going to vote. In my opinion, it should be Young without a doubt.

Nope, hes close but No, It's either gonna be Jones-Drew or Colston from the saints, that guy was one of the last players picked in the draft and look at the numbers hes putting up

70 rec, 1038 yards 8 touchdowns and almost 15 yards a catch

not to mention he stepped in at a time when the saints need to replace injured starters. Those stats belong to one of the last guys drafted, I say pretty impressive

Jones-Drew shares the ball with Fred Taylor and is Still tied for fourth in the league with 12 rushing touchdowns behind only LT, Larry Johnson and Marion Barber, tied with Rudi Johnson

I think it is between him and Maurice Jones-Drew. Vince Young did an incredible job in taking them from a 0-5 team to a 8-7 team and a chance to make the playoffs slim as it is. Bush better not win hes not the reason the Saints are good its Brees

I think he would be my pick, he plays the most important position on the team and he took a team that was terrible and turned them into a good team , he has excellent leadership skills , and refuses to let his team loose, and his team mates already respect him.He makes an average team better, without him they would not have won 6 in a row. The sainnt's would still be a good tem withou bush, drew bree's is the biggest reason they are where they are , i would vote for maurice jones drew second, he,s just as dynamic of a player as bush, and is out scoring him, without the surronding cast that bush has.Young all the way.

Stat wise it should go to MJD (remember he has great special teams stats too)... but I think because of the remarkable job Young has been doing at winning games for the Titans, he will win it. I mean his stats aren’t incredible... but he is winning games.

Who would have thought the Titans would have been 8-7 after 15 games? Not even Jeff Fisher, the Titans coach expected this many wins. And the Titans are 8-7 because of Young. Young's stats aren't mind boggling... but because of him, Tennessee’s in playoff contention, and you take Young off that team -- they are a 3-13 team (at best).

Not even close. Maurice Jones-Drew wins ROY easily. You going to give the award to someone who hasn't even played the entire year? Think again.
