They sit at about the same position, but there is one condition between the two. Males tend to lie horizontally, so you can tell that you are pregnant from behind. Females sit vertically so you can't tell from behind.

yes-it isjust an old wives tale.
but it goes, if you are 'carrying low' its a boy & carrying high its a girl.
I've been carrying low my whole pregnancy & Im having a girl
there are no special ways to predict if you are having a boy or girl, you just have to wait until the 'big' ultrasound.

Well.. that's an old wives tale.. the places you gain weight are pretty accurate though..
With a girl you'll gain weight in your butt and thighs.. but won't have much water retention anywhere else..
With a boy you tend to gain weight everywhere!.. and have BIG swolen ankles..

Its not true, usually, I heard, that your first kid is usually high regardless and after that they all seem to hang lower
