I think that you should wait and see if they reply back later. There are alot of times when I sign on and then the phone rings or I am away from the computer but have not signed off. It is possible that she did not intentionally ignore you. If she is a good friend she will probably apologize later for missing you and you will have been all upset over nothing. If this is not the case....re evaluate your friendship. It could be that this person is not worthy of your friendship if she repeatedly ignores you, but whatever you do, dont make one time the basis for ending the friendship without giving him or her the chance to explain. Maybe she was chatting with some really hot super star or maybe her cat died. You wont know until you do actually get the chance to talk to her or until you see a pattern of this type of behavior. Until then, give her the benefit of the doubt
(please)! Good friends are very hard to find!

None of the 'six'.

First thing: You 'considered' him/her a friend. Was he/she the one? - It seems you are not sure.

Then: 'Ignored' you on line - means you have not met each other.

The situation is not worth bothering.

But if he/she is a genuine friend and there is no genuine reason - known or unknown to you - for the tendency to ignore, you must talk about it and clarify and according to the response from there, you may decide as per 1 and/or 4 OR 5 and/or 6.

There are three strikes in an out in baseball...give him three chances. If he continues to ignore you, move on. Don't be mean about it, but move on. Life is too short. You will soon learn that as you get older.

I would make sure that I KNEW the person didn't just not see my im or accidently delete my e-mail. My feeling is that you should just walk away. You might be surprised that this person will come running after you then.

I guess I'd go with number 6. I'm not petty enough to be bothered with the rest.

Best approach would be to walk away and never look back, unless ur responsible for it.
Good luck.
