Being an ex-server in various restaurants, I find myself always giving at least 20% (10-15% even if the service was bad). And my husband and I always try and give at least 15% to delivery drivers because even though it's their job, and you may not think it's all that hard, they're still delivering YOUR FOOD, while you're sitting pretty at home watching the tube or surfing the web. It's just a little thing called COMMON COURTESY.

TIPS is an acronym, it means "To Insure Proper Service" It is aways important to tip your server, unless the service is less than desireable. What this means is the average tip is15%, if the service is impeccable then you could add another 5% to the tip making the tip 20%. However some restaurant include the tip with large groups, in this case a tip is not necessary to add more to the tip. It is also not required that you tip fast food server even if they have the tip in plane view. The tip jar has been so over used that it takes away from bonified servers. so so no to the tip Jar... but say yes to the real hard working servers. Once I was with a large group but the service was terrible so I approached the manager and asked that the restaurant to remove the 15% tip and allow us to give the server what we deemed appropriate. Deliverly people usually get a buck or two!

Depends on the service and quality of the food.
I don't care how much they get paid, they took the job knowing they get crap pay and have to depend on tips. And I really don't appreciate hearing people working those jobs that "enhance" the food if people don't tip.
On that note. I TIP! if the service is good.
If the service is crappy, they get two pennies on the table.
If the service is so-so, they get 10-15%.
If the service is excellent, they get 20% or more, depending on how many people/pizzas and how long it took to get there and if we are running him/her ragged with our food/drinks.
I tip delivery drivers, even if the food is late in coming. Usually there is an explanation (say a Saturday around 9pm, or heavy rain, etc).

Answer: YES. I tip them every time. You must understand they work very hard, on weekends, nights, and do not make much more than the minimum wage wherever you live. They provide a service.. you may disagree about tipping.. but you are wrong.
And tip your server and delivery person liberally....
The custom is 15%..
I always tip 20% or 25%.

I always tip when the service good, and even if it it poor because the waitress/server is working hard but so swamped due to large crowd. If they are not good because they dont try, I do not tip!
RESPECTS TO NOT GETTING PAID...WHY DO CUSTOMERS HAVE TO MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE BECAUSE THE EMPLOYER IS ONLY PAYING $2-$5 AN HOUR!! THAT IS WHAT GETS MY GOAT WHEN IT COMES TO TIPPING!!

I hate to tip. But I do, but not...much. 2 - 3 bucks max. I hate tipping especially when they're already charging me a fuel charge. I live like 5 - 10 minute away from where they're going...they're sitting in their car, listening to music, speeding around town dropping off food. lol I don't think that deserves 5 or 10 bucks.

If you think that is not hard, you haven't done it. It has been over 25 years since I was a waitress, and I still remember how hard it was. However, if they do a crappy job, then I do not tip them because they have not, in my opinion, earned it. If they do a good job, I tip them at least 10 percent. If they have done a great job, then I tip them 15 percent.

Yes I always tip if I receive good service.
I used to work in a restaurant and if you do not tip then don't be surprised if your food has a little something extra in it the next time you eat there.
Most restaurants do not pay that much and your server expects tthe tip if her service was good. Not providing a tip is either asking for bad service next time or for special unmentionable additives to be included in your food.

Yes I do and it's usually 20%. I also tip delivery drivers. They deliver the food to you so that you can sit at home in your PJs scratching your backside.
