The U.S. version of the 1991 BMW 735IL used the same 3.5 Litre engine as the 1991 535i. The Euro versions have different emission configurations which usually have another 5 - 10 HP above the U.S Versions.
The U.S. version of the 1991 BMW 735IL used the M30 engine rated at 208 HP at 5700 RPM. Torque on the M30 engine was rated 225 lb-ft at 4000 SAE RPM.
