Yes, I always get a little down the day after. I need to be spending the days after playing with the kids and finding the new items a home.... But I spend those days laying around not wanting to do anything...I hate it.. I try to hide it every year and feel worse about it every year.....

Yes. I grew up overseas and always spent the holidays with my best friends. Now that I live in the States I have spent the last couple of Christmases and Thanksgivings with my extended family, whom I do not know very well because I grew up so far away from them. None of us really get along, and there's a lot of family politics that goes that I don't know (or care) about and somehow I always end up getting stuck in the middle. So whenever the holiday season rolls around, I keep thinking that I would much rather be back home with my best friends. But that's not possible so I get pretty depressed.

I used to be. I learned to celebrate the holidays the way I WANT to, not celebrate the way other people tell me I HAVE to.
That's made all the difference in the world; now I look forward to the holiday season.

I tend to get depressed after the Holidays when people start removing their decorations and things become bland and normal once more.
