I understand Verizon has free long distance.
Does this work for out of state calls as well?

i beleive so. I know that cingular offers that. So im pertty dure that verizon would have to do the same in order to stay competitative.......y u askin????? u wanna give me a call????? ;)

Yes it's free long distance. You use up your regular minutes and thats it. As long as your not roaming it will be the regular usage. If your roaming it's about .50 a minute. But Verizon is pretty much everywhere so you should be ok. You can call Verizon and find out if your ok in whatever state you go to.

I believe it depends on the plan that you have. My best advice to you is to call customer service and check on what plan you have. If you don't check and it isn't free - that could mean some serious bills. Better safe than sorry.

Yes! You both must be on the "in" plan. I talk to my childhood best friend in Atlanta (I live in the north) everyday!!! Once, we talked for 8 hours straight! And no charges and no airtime use!
