what's the difference between the following: street, road, drive, avenue?

like abbey road, wall street, rodeo drive. what's the difference between those titles?

A drive is residential, a road is not residential. Avenues and streets ar perpendicular bisectors of eachother.

I believe it has to do with the direction of the road.
