What your friend is doing is child abuse plain and simple. You need to get help for that child ASAP! If the rash has progressed to the point of bleeding there could be a serious underlying infection going on. No wonder he "won't shut up", he's in agony. CPS in most cases won't immediately remove the child from the home unless they see an urgent reason to do so at their inspection, but they can help your friend to get the help she needs to be the mother that poor little boy deserves. It sounds to me like she could at the very least use a few parenting classes and a helping hand. I don't know where you live, but the child abuse reporting hot-line in New York is 1-800-342-3720. I'm sure that if you call them they will be able to give you the number of the appropriate agency in your state. Do the right thing and do not delay!

That poor baby.
How old is the mother? Is she a single mother? Is there anyone to help her care for the baby?
It sounds as though this mother needs some help. Being a single mother can be very stressful. Don't leave her. Stay and try to help. By helping, you will help her stress and she might be able to see that things are going to be okay.
This type of rash is not going to go away on its own. I would start with bathing the baby and then making sure that he is completely dry before applying any type of ointment and diaper. Babies love to be naked! Let him play and roll around on a clean blanket. This will help to air his bottom out. Next, make sure that his diaper is changed often. However, he will need to be thoroughly cleaned and dried each time. If you call the doctor, he may allow some Tylenol or Motrin for the pain.
If the mother continues to not care for the baby and talks about him with such profanity, you should really think about calling someone. This poor baby cannot take care of himself, nor can he defend himself. He needs you.
Best of luck to you.

After a bathtub dry all epidermis very o.k.. do no longer use any products that ought to catch moisture. substitute toddler as quickly as he wets himself. do no longer use wipes....yet DO use a cotton textile and heat water to wipe off the stingy and acidic urine and poopies. textile can help, yet you could have an theory a thank you to handle diaper rash the two way. Make a mix of which hazel, lavender oil, aloe vera and calendula extract positioned it in a twig bottle and spray and wipe with each and every substitute (enable bum to dry properly before putting the diaper on). you additionally can purchase bum spray. do no longer use any creams, soaps, perfums, shampoos, etc for the subsequent whilst. maximum suitable treatment, is a splash solar on the bum. pay attention for burns nonetheless (oblique photograph voltaic via a window is good). :D

OMG This baby is in pain. He/She needs to see a doctor he'll perscrib a anti fungul cream to help it heal. My daughter got that once and that's what worked. It works really fast. I don't care if she's your friend, what matters is that baby. He/she can't deffend themselves. I had a family member smoking pot in the same rrom as he new baby and leaving it around the house while their abby was crawling and there was no hesitation about calling social sevices on her. She never lost her child but she got the help she need to better care for him. If you were her friend you'd make the call and get her the help that BABY needs. Be there for the baby, he/she is in pain!

sounds like she may be suffering from postpartum depression. The baby is the most important, though, because he is too little to do anything for himself. He needs to be taken to the doctor, given to a friend or relative for at least the time being, and she needs some serious help, whether it is ppd or whatever.

I dont think people like that deserve to be parents. PLEASE dont just brush this off, something needs to be done.
