MAC is a pro cosmetics brand, this cosmetics are often used in runways and editorial makeup so they dont have a starters kit, however, the people attending the counters in stores are professional make up artists and they will give you tips on how to look your best with their products. If you are not experienced in applying make up, I recomend thay you buy a sheer blush in a bright color, that you can put on the apples of your cheeks for that healthy blush, a blot powder, makes the shine go away living a matte finish, a lip gloss in your fav color and finally a khol eyeliner.. teddy or prunella are great!! check the website.
Bobbie Brown, has a natural look, they do have "palettes" with gloss, blush, eyeshadows... they also have books with tips on make up for young girls, and little bags with your essential brushes... I think you should try this brand before going to MAC.. check website it is very good...
