Yes I knew his health was failing, but thanks for the information. You know he pardoned Nixon. But I wonder if anyone realizes those that have snide remarks, that if he did not what would have happened to this country? We were in a cold war? Does anyone know how instrumental President Ford was in resolving some serious Soviet problems, thank God he was in there. If it would have been anyone else you would be looking at a Russian Flag everyday outside your window, and that is a fact. He was loved by all. A forgiving man is better than any tyrant like GW Bush who would probably have asked for the death penalty? Nixon was insane, and he was not alone in that Watergate issue, the whole Republican party would have failed, and the Communists were strong at that point with two Democratic parties the staunch and the liberal, (socialists). This would have been a disaster. And he gave amnesty to all the Draft Dodgers as well and that was a blessing. His wife was a wonderful woman and her admission of her drug and alcohol problems and doing her laundry in public, without shame, starting that clinic to help others with all that stress that she had, God Bless her and her whole family too. It seems people think they can do better than why dont they try living under a 10th of that pressure? ha ha they would not survive it.
