GET OUT OF THE HOUSE AND STOP ISOLATING YOURSELF.
Physical activity gets the endorphins going. Distract your attention.
goggle distress tolerance techniques. Talk to someone.Write poetry.Do art. EAT. Watch a funny movie.Goggle funny pics/words/videos/stories/bush blunders. Accept sadness as a normal feeling that everyone experiences and sometimes all we can do is allow ourselves to just be sad. Like the movie the CROW says
"it can't rain all the time". Stand on your head. draw an circle in the middle of your belly and underneath draw a half moon and look in the mirror

I think it is OK to feel sad sometimes. We are human and have feelings. If you can not feel sad at times how could you feel love other times? I do not try to stop feeling sad except around others, who I do not want to be sad for me. It is good to cry sometimes too.

If you have ongoing feeling of sadness, you may have an actual problem.Don't underestimate your feelings, you may have depression, which is nothing to be embarassed about, it is a medical condition caused by hormone imbalances and not your fault. Seek a doctors advice, there are great medications available to help you through tough times. Good luck and know you are not alone, a lot of people feel the same way. HANG IN THERE TOMORROW WILL BE BRIGHTER!

Simple- just be glad.
1. Think about the good things that have happened in your life.
2. Take your mind off the problem and instead find something worth thinking.
3. Have someone to talk to.
Have a wonderful new year ahead!

I know its lame, but I always remind myself that things could be worse and they can only get better. Then do something that makes you happy, like going out and getting that hot cup of coffee you never seem to have time for, so you remember to appreciate the small things.
