i am 16 weeks pregnant and just want to know if i go for an ultrasound now if i will be able to find out the sex of my baby or not.the last time i went i was 12 weeks and they said you cant see the sex.

It depends on the position of the baby. Sometimes you can see it, and sometimes not.

I had an ultra sound when i was 16 weeks pregnant, the lady knew right away i was having a boyand said she was 100% positive. I had another one 18 weeks, and same thing. But they also said my baby was almost 2x the size he was suppose to be, but i would say yes it is very possible. Shhh.. i took a little sip of soda b4 i went so my baby would be in all different positions so we would be able to get a position :-X

I didn't find out with either of my kids, but i was told during my pregnancies that if i did want to find out the sex that it could be done at the 18-20week ultrasound, not to say that you couldn't find out earlier. i think it's just a more accurate time for them to tell the sex.

They generally take a look at about 20 weeks when you have your big ultra-sound. I found out at 19 weeks because my parents were moving away, but it was a little harder for my doctor to tell.

they normally check the sex around 5 months. congrats...
