Am Alpha conserv. (?rigid) male. Oldest son - ditto so little time w/ 2 presch. 2nd son Alpha lib. w/ earlier vs. on sexuality Daughter adores uncle, ignores me (no tatoos?), youngest son in culture so foreign can only e=mail. Suggestions for improving relationships?

Yes, PLEASE quit analyzing everyone and labeling them. Jeez, I thought I was bad about that--you have got me beat by a mile.
I am not trying to be rude, really. But love your kids for who they are. They do not fit into neat little psych categories. You need to lighten up a bit. Relax. Remember what it is like to be a young adult--or better yet a child. What made you happy then?
Your kids are raised now, so now you can work on being someone they want to be with. You don't have to party with them (well, you can a little bit if you want) but do something fun with them. Plan a fishing/camping trip for this summer.
Just relax. You seem so uptight to me. Life is short, you need to spend what is left wisely.

Could start by explaining in simple english.This makes no sense at all. If this is the way you communicate with the children, no wonder you have a problem relating.

My suggestion is to be geuine in wanting to spend time with them..put forth some effort. Try not to express so much on your differences and find some common ground....Good Luck!

Spend more time with them doing what they enjoy. You need to find common intrests and remember how it was when you were their age.
