Needle insertion, but mild pain. A local anesthetic (spray) is/can be applied. Fast and certain. You can remove it ASAP if you feel it is uncomfortable. I do body piercings and have several myself.
The healing process is more of a concern than the actual piercing.

They stick a needle on the top part of your belly. Then they put the ring in. Be sure to pick a bellyring that is light. Don't go for a heavy one and if you can choose a gold, silver or plastic one is better. When I got it the guy that did it for me gave me Purell to clean my hands before I touched it. Clena it with a Q-Tip and some rubbing alcohol twice a day. Then keep moving it around so that it won't get stuck with the scap. I know it sounds nasty, but if you don't remove the scap it's going to hurt when it piles up and you try to move it. But it doesn't hurt when you're getting it done. It feels like a pinch.

they mark the spot where they are gonna pierce it....then they clamp the area....they use a needle to pierce it...they then put the ring in....it hurts as much as someone pinching u really hard...but only for a few....but after it hurts to do things like bend over and even sit down...healing depends on how well u take care of it...the healthiest amout of time you should wait to take it out is 6 months....doing it b4 then or b4 its fully healed will.tear.the.healed.parts.inside.the.piercing....and thats like staring all over....taking the.ring out depends on what kind of ring u where given...a cbr is a ring thats a circle with the two ends closed with a little ball....to take that off all u do is take a pair of sissors and squeez on the space between the ball and one of the ends....it should pop right.off...any other ring will have a ball u just.screw.off....thats about it except ask the place whers.u.get it done how.u.take care.of.it.cuz.i.dont.feel.like.typing.it...they.shoud give.u a paper about it....

they should mark a spot with marker
and then open a hole with a needle
pain depends on how sensative you are. it does not hurt very much once it enters the skin, and the pain does go away.
it comes out just like earings would. but you have to unscrew a ball to take out the barbell/ or remove a ball from a ring.
you should be care and clean it how you are instructed, because they can get infected easily.

They clamp the skin right in front f your belly button, then they take this long needle and stick it through the clamped skin, then the put in the ring and screw on the top. It doesn't hurt at all because the clamp makes you skin go numb.

first they make a mark with a marker
sometimes they use clamps
then they make a hole with a hollow needle
and thread the jewelry through.
then they tell you how to take care of it
and taking it out is just like an earring after 6 months
your unscrew the ball thing then take the ring out
pain depends on the person, but its not that bad either way

They draw the dot where they'll stick the needle first. It's a small needle used to pierce it. They pull your skin out with tong like things and stick the needle in. It doesn't hurt too much and you should be able to change your ring in 6 weeks from what I remember with mine.
