Pros-helps to eliminate dress code issues (like drug/gang related pics and slogans on t-shirts). It's easy for students to get khakis and a plain white shirt. Makes it clear for parents, students, teachers, administrators as to whether a not a student is in dress code.

Cons- There are always students and parents that will complain that it takes away from individual expression, it can be argued that students will always find a way to be rebellious when it comes to dress code, if parents are not given ample notice they will complain that they weren't given enough time to buy new clothes, or that they do not have the financial resources to buy new clothes.

I've been wearing uniforms ever since kindergarten.. I think it is good cause I don't have to worry of what I'm going to wear today.. And the uniform for prefects or student council looks and feels better..

However, I hate it when I've to iron my uniforms.. And I hate it when my cat pee on my shoes, and I don't have shoe to go to school.. And it costs me a lot to buy those uniforms..

The best reason for it, that I know, is it is a great equalizer. When all of the kids are dressed the same, you don't get into the fashion competition in which the kids with money can snub the kids with money.

Eliminate the fashion competition, and you eliminate some of the jealousies and other things that are a distraction to learning.

Pros:Some teachers think it eliminates competition or distractions of (esp teen's) dress. Promotes consistency and "order"
Cons: I had double laundry; the uniform and the play clothes they changed into after school! Eliminates freedom of expression and choice.

execs -None Cons -all people lacks variety/individuality/self-expression -Forcing people (many with little or no money) to purchase costly clothing with the intention to attend college i do no longer likely think of you shop lots money.. I even have continuously offered conventional clothing for a much greater useful cost than the common college uniform, and that they look and sense a hell of alot greater useful. looking on line at a conventional uniform college web site... i ought to purchase a %. of 5 undeniable shirts for the cost of one uniform shirt. in case you shop at a low-cost franchise shop you will discover somewhat effective looking issues for a real low cost. If specific all people is nervous approximately their acceptance based on the form of clothing they placed on, that's a psychological subject that should be attacked particularly, and would not require a call for for the entire college to placed on uniforms. And gang violence could nevertheless be contemporary, reguardless of the form of clothing. I additionally think of it may surely get rid of the experience of community. think of of all of the communities of people in college... punks, goths, metalheads, geeks, preps... all of them needless to say gown for this reason to their personalities. You wouln't choose for to rigidity all those people to gown precisely the comparable.. could you?
