To me there is no difference. If your spouse cheats (husband or wife) and you allow it and stay, then you are going to pay the ultimate price, your self respect. And no one can "afford" that.

Wife who stays with a cheater will only give you headaches and drama.
A prostitute will actually has a job and pays the bills.
