What can I do to correct this?

Usually means that the URL has an illegal character in it, or an unknown protocol. For example, asdf://someaddress may be invalid if your computer does not understand how to interpret the asdf:// protocol. It is difficult to troubleshoot without knowing more specifics, like what program is giving you this message, or where, or what you are trying to do.
