Cut tiled mirrors. You can see from all angles, and it will create an illusion of more space and light in your area.

from milk cartons to wooden odd shapes, rectangles etc, grouped together to formed seats to benches , bookshelves to ornament boxes. My dad built me pine wooden shapes when I was a teenagers, I am 51 now. I painted them all different colours and I thought I had the coolest hang out room ever. One of the longest walls we painted all different colours in stripes, one strapping painted black in between each colour. Those were my good old days!

• cover or paint some different sized cans for a desk set to hold your pens, pencils, paper clips, rubber bands, etc.
