I have a D-Link, and it set itself automatically

if you just got it out of the box read the instruction guide. if it's installed in your home network it should be the default gateway...

go to START > RUN > type in cmd

at the command prompt type ipconfig /all

go into command prompt and type in IPCONFIG.
and ur ip address will show.That's it!!
