I think its not as much being mean as it is trying to answer questions that shouldn't be asked--such as the sexually graphic (when children are here too) and the "Is it OK to have a wife and a mistress too?" Come on how do you kindly tell theses people they are out of line politely?? Even tho I seem to find a way for the most part--But sometimes--when the person is so far out in left field I just blow up--example--a person wanted to know if it were OK to sell his dog (a great dog he said) to buy a horse--What?? You don't take in a pet as a family member to give them up for another--they are a huge lifelong responsibility--and it ticked me off--so you see if you are passionate over a subject matter then sometimes you just come off maybe mean sounding--

Sweetie, this is the Internet. People will be mean no matter what. A lot of people do not care about what they write or the people they hurt in the process. Don't worry about what others write, just ignore. They're not worth your time. If you're still complaining, then simply don't go on here!

Because they've built up a lot of frustrations from the real world, and it's a handy release for them to come into the virtual world and depricate someone whom can't defend themselves.
It's likely that they wouldn't be as mean in the real world, nor would they have the guts to say the demeaning things to people that they say here.
Or, maybe they're just being smartalecs and you're being overly sensitive to it..lighten up a bit.

Sometimes people are being sarcastic, and they think they're funny when they're not. Sometimes they are irritated by a question, so they answer it in a mean way. Don't take it personally. Most of the people here are sincere and try to answer every question the best way they can.

Usually because they are very small minded people who need to put someone else down to make themselves feel better. This likely gives them a false sense of superiority over others. The best we can do is pity them.

A lot of time, it's because the question is so monumentally stupid, that you can't help nailing them for being so dumb. For example, questions about whether gemini's are compatible with libras, when everyone knows that astrology is a giant, stinky crock of horsepoo. Or questions whose answers could be found in 2 seconds on Google or Wikipedia, but they still waist our time with them anyway.

some of them get a kick out of making people upset. I do not understand what is going on in their heads but I do know that they could be doing something more productive with their lives.

I have noticed it too, but don't let it bother you. They are also nice ones. Just have fun and forget the mean ones! I asked a question about music and some person went on like they knew it all, but I just let it go on by me...after I gave them a few choice words he he!

Some people take life too serious. They are on here trying to get the most points and dont feel like taking a joke. Stay happy as you are and dont let them bother you.
