Yes, I remember him well. A great American, much respected by both parties. He served our country well, but was a victim of his time in not being electable because he was appointed to fill an horrific vacancy in our line of elected presidents. The man lived and survived the presidency as a true gentleman. I offer my deepest sympathy to his dear wife, Betty and their children as well as to a much poorer nation for his loss. God bless him and bring him into the Kingdom of God as a faithful servant. Amen.

The was a Humble, Honest Man who through no fault of His own had greatness thrust upon Him, and with all the good graces of an unassuming Hero, bore that burden during a time in America's history when the mantle of true leadership needed to be shouldered by an average Man with above average qualities of both humility and humanity. Whilst He was not elected to the post ,He was however President for 895 days, and during that time He gained the respect of the voters for His untiring efforts to bring America back together once again.
Hail and Farewell, Mister President.

I feel bad for Ford's family and friends who surely loved him deeply. However, I'm a Viet Nam era vet and have absolute, total contempt for each and every one of the creeps who ran off to hide in Canada or Sweden. Gerald Ford pardoned them, and for that I tend to put him in the same category as Jane Fonda and her ilk.
