About 30 minutes ago I mixed the household cleaner CLR with bleach while cleaning out my shower. It didn't take me long to realize this was a bad idea. A strong smelling cloud of fumes formed in my small bathroom. I did breathe in some of the fumes before I realized what was happening.

I got out of the bathroom as soon as I could, but I am still coughing some now. I don't really have a headache or any eye irritation. I've since gone in, opened a window, and put a couple fans in my bathroom to air it out.

Should I be concerned about my health? How dangerous was this?

It is extremely dangerous. I would wait another 30 minutes an see if you are stilll ok. If you have any nausea (vomitting), stomach upset, headaches, or continue coughing you will need to go to the emergency room. If it is not too cold you might go outside and breathe fresh air for awhile. The fumes are deadly and you are lucky to be alive.

Ooh. Thats pretty bad. But you took many precautions and it seems that you'd be okay. If something happens (rash, irritation, coughing, wheezing etc..) happens in the next few days you may want to get it checked. Though I doubt anything will happen.

This combination (so I've heard) could possibly kill you, if not cause severe brain damage.
