Funny...we played Monopoly earlier. The only way it ever ends is to sink the money into properties to bankrupt the other person. If you run out of money going around the board after buying the properties trade your unwanted properties for rent. (If you can't, mortgage them. If you won't miss them, don't bother to un-mortgage them). Also, try to get two groups of properties in a row. This nearly guarantees the other person will land on them when they go down the "street". Also, it is cheaper to have the hotels than the houses in the matter of "pay for repairs" chance/community chest cards. If you have 4 houses it will cost you more for repairs than a hotel. Get rid of the houses ASAP. Also, try to get Illinois Ave, Boardwalk (duh, right?!), and Reading Railroad. Chance/community chest cards will sometimes direct a person to go there, thus they have to pay you rent! Sweet!

The goal of LIFE is to end up with as much money as possible. When you get to the end, you add up the money and the LIFE tiles to see your total. That is why it helps to buy stocks, insurance, and to have a good career.
The goal of Monopoly is also to have the most money and the most properties. I am not 100% sure of how to count things like properties. When I play with family, when it is the end of the game, we just add however many dollars we bought the houses and hotels for, the properties, etc... It may not be the right way, but it is easiest! :)

well, we used to do this trading thing once all of the monopoly properties had been purchased. You negotiate so that everyone has at least one monopoly to build hotels on. It really speeds things along.

it may show people who you should use money to make money and that investment in authentic sources may be a reliable ingredient. however, the sport makes it look much less puzzling than it surely is in authentic existence. the sport would not show you with reference to the themes of broken pipes and termite harm!!
