Gerald Ford has been a great man... just not a great president.

I did notice that the news article did not list a cause of death; at the risk of being outre, perhaps, well, he stumbled and fell one too many times? Sorry, I couldn't resist the VERY old joke and inspiration for the Chevy Chase clumsy routine...

Anyway, I lived through the Ford era, and all I remember from that time was the Energy Crisis and my mother complaining that the price of gasoline had risen to 43 cents a gallon! Horrors!

I notice the Yahoo death notice does not recall his having served on the Warren Commission, but, of course, they couldn't include everything. In fact, there seemed to be as much about Betty as about Gerald. Bon voyage, Mr. President!

I thought he already was. In 1975.

Ford is probably the most meaningless president in US history.

He seems to have been a decent person. Unlike the bozos who are presently in charge. Wish there were more like him.

I don't know who's Gerald Ford, I'm sorry (I'll look up who he is), but this is sad.

EDIT: oh that's Geral Ford, well people die everyday, and I didn't know him so I guess it's kind of sad.
