Personally, I aim for both. I will only answer a question that I think I can answer honestly. If I can't help them, then I won't bother. So I feel I am earning my points. I'll admit, I browse through questions to see if I can get points, but I wont' answer EVERYTHING. When I ask something, I hope I get an honest and helpful answer and just that. I'm sure others do it for a joke and points. Read some of the silly comments/answers..you'll see who really cares about helping and not. Happy Holidays!

Depends on the question. Mostly for the points but I do try to help someone with a serious question.

Depends on the question...If it's a stupid question I do it just for the points. If they ask a serious question, and I know something about the answer I try to answer the question to the best of my ability.

It's true...I really want to help the person. I also enjoy answering trivia questions. We're all here to be entertained. It's not about the points...not really, but thanks for the 2!
