I feel so much pressure from within to BE something special - to be that person who others admire. Why is that? My parents never pushed me to be the very best. And so, given that I feel this desire, why can I not seem to find the right path towards my goals? The paths I have chosen are not WRONG, but certainly haven't been the right ones, either.... Am i running out of time?

Don't worry you're not running out of time. You're not dead yet! I always wanted to be something special tto! I wanted to find a cure for something, or be a famous actor or something. I think being special happens without you realizing it because we don't get constant praise. Constantly being recognized a special takes a few things. You have to be willing to take HUGE chances. You got to take big leaps. If you want to cure cancer, you better quit your day job and get your butt into UCLA right now, you know....Stuff like that! You can't wish or wait, you gotta go grab it! Think about what it is that you want to do. Write down three things you need to accomplish that. Do two of those things and rely on someone else to do the third. There are a ton of reasons, you'll see why......Good luck, and be bold!

I suppose that if you're less than mediocre (average) and attain mediocrity its a good thing. I would consider Bush much less than mediocre and only sank lower and lower. A bottom of the barrel scraper who was elevated as a puppet on strings to be the worst president ever and a true blight on our world for eight long stupid years.

It's never too late to be all that you can be... Do you meditate? What is your breathing like? I was a shallow breather for many years and felt exactly as you do now. I've been learning to slow and deep breathe and have found that my expectations of myself are being realised. The answers you are looking for are within you - you just need to ask the right questions! :) I found that visiting a kineisologist VERY helpful!

Honestly there is only one person that can truly judge you on this question, and that is you!
If you feel you are successful then you are. Do not allow your expectations to be influenced by parents, friends, or whomever.
Only you can decide the success which you achieve. Success is all in the expectations which you give yourself.
