I have to disagree with the other answers if you used find instead of finds it would be correct... Two people are out shopping,, one says to the other,, " I do hope we find me a gift. " people buy themselves presents all the time. lol

No it is not gramatically correct!

No, this is definitely not correct. In fact, it's not even clear what you want to say.

Who is doing the finding of the gift? And for whom?

"I do hope he or she finds me a gift"?

"I do hope we find me a gift"." - although that's a bit bizarre, how often would you be looking with someone for a gift for you?

I hope we find a gift for me.

Grammatically, it should be 'find' not 'finds'. 'I do hope we find me a gift' would mean that you and your friends are looking for a gift for you. Whereas if you are looking for a gift for a friends, and your other friends are helping you, it would be 'I do hope we find a gift for my friend' or 'I do hope we find a gift for me to take to my friend's anniversary.'

If a person who happens to have the name "We" is involved, then the only change required to the sentence is to capitalise the W! It would sound the same, of course.

No. Since the subject is plural it should be 'find' not 'finds'. I think the rest is right though.

No - the verb and subject need to both be singular or plural.

' We' is plural so use of 'finds' is incorrect. it should be 'find'. So it would be 'I hope we find a gift for myself'.
