Goths . . . because I have yet to truly understand this phenomenon called 'emo'. I have a good hold on Goths, though, and I like what they stand for, even if I'm not one of them.
No disrespect to either!

emo because emo doesn't only mean sad or depressed it simply means emotional so there could be really really happy emo kids and then sad depresed emo kids emo just means any form of emotionalness

I'm not goth but I guess I would go for it since it's kind of cool. I like to paint my nails black just for the look of it and wear black boots, mid calf ones with low heel.

"Goth" because they have more fun. They have more humor. I'm depressed already, I really don't need emo culture. With goths I could go see Gothic cathedrals, read Gothic novels, and read up on my Gothic ancestors.

while i don't like to sound uninformed i have no idea what an emo is.

see... it doesnt matter. it REALLY doesnt matter. You should NEVER choose a label over a person.. that's just cruel. by saying, I wouldn't go with a goth cause he is goth, is just insensitive and dispicable... get to know the person, not the label...
