mp4 is video files, and usually an average music video is about 4 songs, so on a 4 gig you can get 1000 songs, or 250 videos. so if thats enough, then go for it. otherwise you may need more space

No, 3.9 GB is small for an MP4. 3.9 GB holds about 1000 songs and if you have any videos it won't hold nearly as much. So really it just depends on if there is a lot of music and movies that you like.

It varies on what type of files you decide to have stored in your mp4... if you have mostly songs..then it's pretty good, but if you use mostly videos or half and half...it's not that big...think about it, the iPod with video has 30GB.
