Did he pvssy-out by first believing the hooker over his own students? And, are the Duke President's recent comments, now supporting the students only after the case has fallen apart, a sign that he is a cowardly disgrace of a human being?

I believe you are right. Duke Administration, professors, teachers, etc. attacked these students without due process as did most, if not all of, national media, i.e., Newsweek, Time, NYTimes, Washington Times, Charlotte Observer, Durham Sun, Raleigh News and Observer. How disgusting!

Those of us who know Nifong for what he is - a toad - trolling for black votes when he did not have a chance of winning an honest election - are hoping that he will be disbarred, but lawyers will protect their own and probably all he will get is a gentle reprimand. Blacks will believe the boys are guilty; whites will believe they are innocent. The "victim" who had made similar charges against someone 10 years ago and then dropped the charges will get away with destroying the lives of these three men. Unfortunately, the action of this woman will make it even harder for women who have been raped to prosecute or be believed in real rape situations.

As an interesting aside: Jesse Jackson has stated that whether the woman is innocent or guilty of the charges of false accusation, he has promised to educate her because she is a poor victim. Why? Why did he, sanctimoneously and defiantly, refuse to support his own illigitimate child without being taken to court.

It reminds me of that old saw that said: There ain't no Justice in this here land. My sister got a divorce from her old man. I had to laugh at the judge's decision...he gave my brother the kids and they wont even his'n.

What ever happened to the Presumption of Innocence? Who exactly was He trying to protect? Is the good name of an institution worth more than the reputation(s) of the students impugned by any allegation of impropriety? Does the Man justify the office, or should the office make Him a better person? Was this a systemic error in judgment, or was it something far more sinister? Has He offered a full apology, or even His resignation by way of an act of contrition? Questions that all need to be answered!

This is typical of liberals on college campuses. They assume that the rich white kids are guilty because that is what they do. People like this have no spine and should be sued. Remember, he canceled the lacrosse season after the accusations. I hope that the 3 clearly innocent young men sue the school, city, and Nifong. I hope Nifong is disbarred and goes to jail.
