They care more about your vote than they do you. They take money from special interests to run for office and play favorites with them. If they run under the endorsement of a political party they are dishonorable, and they are using you. Make all the bills and laws you want, but I wan't to see some action by these people. They bicker back and forth to no end and are dragging the people who support them along with them. It is unfair, dishonorable, and NOT how this government was meant to be chosen. We do not have a true choice during elections. The rich are overshadowing those who could truly make a difference and are making it impossible for them to have a fair shot at office. If the people in office would just get a fire lit under their asses and start making decisions, regardless of if they are my beleifs, I would be happy because the issue could be put to rest. I return to the states in February and it makes me sick what the pigs in office have done to the country. Agree?

I agree. Elections should be publicly funded, not lobbyist funded. If we did away with the money factor, I think we would have more honest people running for office. You know, someone who really cares about America.

I think the proverbial "fire" has been lit. The last elections sent the message to Washington that the people are watching. It is now time to keep watching, and to make sure the new power does not make the same mistakes as the old one. I know one thing, the Republicans who have been voted out now understand what is needed, and this will become evident in 2008.

Disagree, unless you replace nearly every position in the federal, state, and city governments, it's still full of greedy pigs. Fact: 90% or more of politicians are wealthy or very wealthy. Party makes little difference in this day.

I agree. I support term limits, and the limit should be 2 terms, possibly even one term. That would get rid of the power hungry and bring in people who truly just want to serve their country. That's how it was back in the early years of this country. Not by legal mandate, it's just how it was. You served in government for a term or two, then went back to your normal life. Serving in congress was a sacrifice and an honor.

Make sure you arrive after Jan 5th, that's when some shred of the decency you left returns to office. Six years running of the politics of Greed has thrown 60 years of prosperity to the way side--can't wait for your return. Your battle skills are needed on the homefront!
