James Carvil's wife is a leading Conservative spokes person. Ann Coultier would never marry Al Franken, but people with less volatile versions of the two wings generally get along fine. We are all Americans.

Sure, James Carville and Mary Matalin.

There's a girl I really like now, who is liberal. I think I would marry her, but she doesn't seem to be interested in me, I think part of it is my conservative politics. I get the feeling that conservatives are more tolerant than liberals.

Depends on the people. Some people who would label themselves as one ot the other don't actually keep up on the issues and don't really discuss them on a day to day basis. Personally, I could never marry a lib. I just don't think I could get past it. The are too many conservative ideas that I feel VERY strongly about. But to the people who can do it, I say good for you, gives you a larger group of people to choose from.

Living proof right here. I've been married to a liberal for 39 years and counting.
I strongly suspect that when we vote - the only effect is in the percentage of eligible voters that cast their votes in that particular election.
I still hold out a glimmer of hope that someday she'll see the light - but, then again, she says the same thing about me.

Yes. Look at Mary Matalin and James Carville. She has worked for Bush and his father and Carville worked for Clinton. They have been married for several years.
