My 23 year old daughter has been mad at me for the past year, over a bunch of lies she was told by my son's ex girlfriend. My son recently figured out what a big liar she was and broke up with her. I knew my daughter would eventually come around, but she is very stubborn. Just like her mother.
I've never said a bad word about her. I often wondered how she could believe someone she's only known a few years over her mother she's known all her life. But, I never pushed anything.
We always have holidays at my Mom's house and she is always there. She used to pretty much ignore me. She's talked to me a little bit the last few holidays, but not much.
When she was leaving on Christmas, she came over to me, gave me a hug and said thank you for the present. This meant the world to me.
We've always been a close family and I'm finally getting my daughter back. My brother in law died unexpectedly of a brain aneuyrism and the funeral was the Friday before Christmas. It's been really hard.
I think he earned his wings by getting me and my daughter back together. It's been the best and worst Christmas I've ever had. My daughter means the world to me and her hug made my day.

Love had to mean the most to me because that is the actual reason we celebrate Christmas. Because God so loved us He gave us His only Son, Jesus Christ who was born to set us free from our sins. The birth of Jesus is a beginning for a new life, with God and our fellow humans. A beginning to be filled with love and caring with peace and happiness that comes along for the ride (wink).
I think this was a wonderful question. May the Lord richly bless you and continue on your beginning for the blessed New Year filled with Peace, Love and Happiness!

The one that ment the most was when my 22 month old was feeling upset & asked me "mommy hug"? There is nothing like it in the world & it was his 1st time asking for a hug!
