MAC has its advantages in the world of Art. Graphic designers use it almost exclusely.

But sharing data, documents in the business world means PC (IBM). With the PC, you get people that are trained on standardized tools. You reach 90 percent of the computer literacy and funtionality.

From a security point of view, the MAC wins. Many people that use MACs on-line simply don't have anti-virus programs. MAC users don't even know what SpyWare is.

So it all depends on what you intend to do with it.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

To me, Macs are prettier if you want your computer to offset your fashion and decor. But more technically, Macs have a pretty good stable Operating System which means that data is more secure and you have ALOT less chance of having a system crash. Also with this Macs don't run as fast as a PC could run,
Macs slow their processing speed to stop unnecessary data collisions that happen in typical PC's.

Now most people wouldnt notice the speed diff in a new mac vs. a new pc. But if your into Extreme Gaming or Graphic Designing Or anything where you need SPEED, and I mean amazing got to get it done right now speed, then a pc is what you need. But if your looking to have a computer where you need a Solid Stable System that will funtion even if you do something INCREDIBLY stupid, then a Mac is the way to go.

I have both a Mac and a Pentium D PC and I would say hands down that the Mac wins. But if you like playing a lot of games, there are many more available for the PC. So that should be part of your decision.

if you are gonna do art/graphics/design/print art, etc for a career or are into it BIG TIME as a hobby....then Mac is your choice.

if you are doing basic internet, chat rooms, talking to friends, basic music, basic art, business programs, etc etc...then PC is your choice.

some think Mac's are cool and what not but they are EXPENSIVE. for one the computer alone is twice the price of any PC. then the software alone is more than the price of a PC.

I do web design and run 2 business's from my computer, a PC. I have all the Adobe art programs, everything. Maybe $4000 invensted in total. If I was to set this up as a Mac with all the same softare...I'd be looking at around $22,000 for the same thing. Well not the same...the Mac will give me better art..but only if I am on a Mac to see it.

mac's are the best but you can do more on a PC sense all the software is made for PCs but I've heard there putting Intel chip's in mac's and windows vista is going mac so that problem is dead
mac's have always been more advanced then PCs there always one step ahead in technology

Mac for multimedia (graphics and video). PC for gaming and office purposes. Mac for people who like to have a stylish computer that is not upgradable. PC for people who like to upgrade the computer on their own.

Both are great platforms. It boils down to your preference. I personally like Windows because it is the universal operating system. The majority at least 80% computer users are windows-based operating systems.
