I'm not the only person that has noticed something and she never really seems into guys.

Okay...I'm sorry but its kind of bothering me that people are asking if it matters. No, I wouldnt stop being her friend for it...I have a cousin who is too. However, I would like to know just for kicks...last time i checked, this was a 'put an answer thats helpful' thing...not a 'criticize the person who asked' thing.

okay person who wrote that long message about ME criticizing you...
1) listen to yourself.
2)can you not read what i wrote about it..?
3) incase you have trouble going and finding what i actually said..im pretty sure it included that i wouldnt care either way and that i was just wondering...and that whole thing where its for you to help me..not go on and on about sexualities. way to read the entire paragraph.

Ok, sorry, but it bothers us that you seem to feel you're the judge and jury of your "friends."
It shouldn't matter to you if your truly are her friend. So what if she is or isn't? Supposedly she's your friend. Why does her sexuality matter to you? Do you feel threatened by it? Are you curious about your own sexuality?
If not, then it's really none of your business.
You're going to get critisizm when you ask something like that. A person's sexuality really is a private matter. As her friend, you should respect that privacy and asking would indeed be very rude!

Just ask her.... you could start the converstation innocently.... don't jump at the question AND If she doesn't want to talk about it then leave her alone about it.... if she is gay, she'll tell you when shes comfortable, don't pressure her or you could lose the friendship.
You can mention about doing things with your cousin... make it known your perfectly fine if someones gay. (that way if she is, she'll feel comfortable to tell you when shes ready)
She could just not be interested in guys right now and wants to concerate on school activies or work. A lot of women do that these days.
But whatever you do... DON'T force the subject on her. If she is, she'll tell you when shes ready.... if shes not, she could just be not ready to date right now.

If you want to know, ask her; but you may want to start with, "do you mind if I ask you a personal question?"
If it really doesn't matter to you one way or the other; then let her be.

Maybe she's just shy around guys, so she tries not to let them know when she's interested.

don't ask her if she's a lesbian. however, maybe in the future you can just casually tell her that you have a lesbian cousin and think that she's cool and that it doesn't bother you.
