Go to opentable.com. Nearly all of the restaurants listed are good date places. Narrow down the search results using by neighborhood and price range. Since you're both only 18, I would suggest finding a place that says it's casual dining and also moderately priced, near to where you're planning to have your date, i.e. the nearest movie theatre.

I would recommend somewhere casual, somewhere with lots of options, and light food (cause u never know if they are allergic or vegetarians). So maybe a place with variety or a nice sandwich place. A quiet, fun, less crowded and loud place where you two can casually talk and get to know each other and not have to worry about rushing in a meal. And..if the date is a disaster, you dont have to wait while the waiter/waitress is takin an hour to bring you your meal!

I'd go with Olive Garden - fairly neutral yet friendly atmosphere, good food, and you can order a salad and still get the free breadsticks. Oh, if when get the breadsticks get the dipping sauce - one of each kind.
But then what do I know, I haven't been on a first date for over 20 years?

A place that is dim and has some fun foods you guys can check out together. I once went on a first date to a mexican place that had over 100 imported beers. It was fun to try different ones and share them. Good luck

It depends on where you live and whether or not your date is a big spender or a tightwad. In the absence of any details like--- are you both in college and living on a shoestring, or are you both twenty or thirtysomethings working full time and able to afford a more expensive restaurant.

Olive Garden is nice because you get to talk a lot and it is not terribly expensive. You get to share a salad or possibly soup. If SHE gets the soup and YOU get the salad, then you can share. If she doesn't want to share with you then it speaks volumes about what she thinks about you and if YOU don't want to share her food maybe she is not the one. Also it can be a nice romantic little evening with the music and ambiance.

I guess it depends on where you are....usually a chain Restaurant would be OK. Applebees, Olive garden, Outback Steakhouse etc.
Find out what they like...it might just be pizza and a movie.
Happy hunting. =-)

Depends on your budget and what you like to eat. If I had to pick I would probably pick sushi at a nice Japanese restaurant.
