walk up to them, bow, ask politely would you give me the pleasure of dancing? they might not understand at first..or they might not be able to breathe..but if you hold out your hand they MIGHT understand.

Just go up to him/her and ask her if him if he knows how to dance, ask in the tone like you are weary about what others are doing out there. If he says "yeah", say something funny like "well, guess I'm out numbered than because as much as I wish I did, I have no idea how to shake what my mama gave me". If he says no, say something like "Whew, glad I'm not the only one!" And just laugh. HUMOR IS KEY. Guys love a chick that is comfortable in her own skin and funny. If you at least get him laughing, you've done good. If he doesn't laugh and makes you feel stupid even thought you make a sincere effort, he sucks anyway so move on to the next lucky man;)

A lady I volunteered told me that her daughter was asked to a dance the following way: A toy dump truck was left on the door with a bag of hamburger buns. The note said " I want to haul your buns to the dance."

I am assume you are a girl by your name what I would do is take home made cookies with to little stenciled feet on them Or do one big cookie and ice it saying you want to go dancing with me. with two little feet on it.

Simple solution - You ask a girl, "Would you like to dance?" If she says, "NO!" Then you say, "No, I said YOU LOOK FAT IN THOSE PANTS (or that dress)." :)
