We have about 3 weeks to do the project, and it can be presented in any way we want, and can choose any topic. I am interested in molecular biology, psychology, genetics, sensual perception etc. Ideally, I could conduct a small experiment in which I could gather data by videotaping my 5-15 participants in a study.

I am thinking about studying pharmacy, so relating a topic to medicine would also be interesting......

I'll gladly help you if I can. I'm a high-school science teacher, I teach physics, chemistry, and some other classes but I have a degree in botany as well and I took AP bio in high school.
The answer is.....it depends.
How much time do you have to work with?
What part of the country do you live in? (Need to know for any type of population study, weather-dependent phenomenon such as plant growth, etc.)
You probably could have some good success with Wisconsin Fast Plants if you have a month or so before it's totally due.
Best of luck!

I was a finance major in college, but then I went to work for a biotech company. It might just be me, but I think fermentation is a extremelly interesting. Learning about biofuels (ethanol) and the difference between corn fermentation and sugar cane is pretty neat. I wish I had spent more time studying these things in high school, but I had no idea how much I would like them. Try it and see you like. Renewable fuels are the future of the world, and it would even be a good topic to discuss in a college interview.

Good luck!
