Better depends on you, what you like, what you can afford.
The DX is the basic model without A/C
The LX is usually the best value for the dollar with A/C, power windows, etc
The EX is the top of the line. Most options are included.
I have owned Honda cars since 1984. Follow the maintence book, change the oil (always use the same brand, like Valvoline) as long as you own the car. It will hold its value until you get tired of it or your lifestyle changes and you move to a different model.
Honda Rocks!
Good Luck!

I drive a 1996 Honda Accord LX with 142k on her, the DX was the basic model with no air conditioning, the LX which is what I drive was the standard model AC, and cloth seating with no sun roof, the EX was leather seats, alloy wheels and a sunroof/moon roof same thing.

The EX was the top of the line fully loaded mode, followed by the LX and the DX is your entry level Accord. This model designation system works the same way for the Civics.

That is pretty old, but I'm sure it's still in fairly decent condition. They all have the same engine size and things along that line, but the only different thing is the standard features. The EX model has the most bells and whistles, LX slightly less in features, and DX has the bare necessities. Good luck in your search!

I have had my share of Honda's
a 91 Accord has been one of them.
I would say go with the EX model if you like having all the Power Features.

Neither the SE is the "best" accord for that generation, with the most options including leather seats and a factory lip kit.
