Each time i tried to it says dvd protection can i get around that?

try windows media player it's free.

As long as your PC has a DVD player (which it should unless its more then a few years old), you can then get a DVD playing software like Windows Media Player.

Ok , the only way that kind of error comes its that the dvd is pirated , now if the dvd is original then use windows media player , now if you want to keep it then , download , anydvd to break the protection and clonedvd to copy it or to play it . Now download intervideo you can use the software to play dvds.

i know!duck tape a dvd player on to your pc and also get a little tv on top the dvd player(also ducktaped) and youll be watching movies in no time!
