The only answer I can give you is what I think. Personally, I don't need "discipline". Discipline is for children. If a woman is old enough to be in a marriage there is your answer. If you do not feel she acts appropriately, you might discuss it in private. Of course, if you do not think she acts appropriately you may hope to find that out BEFORE you get married. Sounds like you want a dog not a wife. I have been married for almost 15 years of my life. I have never been spanked, stricken, hit, smacked, or otherwise "disciplined".
And I would pretty much dare my husband to try it. It don't work that way for us. :) But then again my husband doesn't strike his children, dogs, well ok he does spank the cat occasionally. Just isn't our lifestyle.

Ok, a wife isn't a child and even if she acts like one, marriage shouldn't include discipline (not for the adults, that is). A man and woman are equal. They should talk through any problems. If a guy even thinks like that, he shouldn't be married or be a father. Maybe he was born in the wrong century.

Then who disciplines the husband for thinking a woman needs to be abused in front of her children or in private? The police that's who.

Discipline your wife? Excuse me? LOL! I don't think I understand your question. Because my husband never disciplines me or have any reason to. You should not try teaching children that a woman is subordinate to a man, bad example pops!

Ok, dude! First of all, why do you need to diclipline your wife any way? First of all, that is wrong, and second you could be arrested because that is a felony to abuse your wife. And your wife can act like a child if she wants to, its called Rights. Haven't you ever heard of the Women's Rights Movement? You should wake up, this is the 21st century.

Actually, I feel a little offended by this question. Why or how could I discipline someone I see as my equal? Someone that I respect and look up to?

DISCIPLINED?!? Please tell me you are from another country where the wife can get SPANKED by her HUSBAND!! Well, here in the U.S. of A, no wife is spanked. In fact, if her husband hits her in any way, she can call the police and have him arrested! Wives ARE ADULTS. Not kids. Wives don't need "to be disciplined"!

Why would someone discipline their wife in the first place? I think it makes no sense. And if you were to do it, definetely not in front of your kids.
