Find a theme that you like and copy and paste the code into your "About me" section. Look through the entire code and find a picture url, it will probably end in ".jpg." Copy this url and open it to see if it is the background. If so, replace this url with a url of your own picture. You can get a url for it by going to photobucket.com or tinypic.com.

If the first url you try isn't the background and is the contact box or something, leave that one and try a different url that is in the code until you get the right one.

It sounds difficult, but it's really easy.

If you know the location of your photo on your computer, it is easy.
Go to a site like Photobucket. Create an account and upload your photo.
(this is a site that lets you store your photos online for free)
Next Look up Thomas Myspace editor.
In it, you can paste the url of your photo off of photobucket for the background. It will then generate a code for you, all you have to do it copy and paste it into your myspace page, usually I do it in the about me section but you can really paste it in any section.
The thomas myspace editor withh let you edit other things about your profile as well, and you can preview it before you actually change it. Good luck!
