I got some really wierd lamps one year and regifted them the next year...I also got the wierdest teddy bear made out of a wire frame with astro-turf garland wrapped around the frame, with a big red bow...so basically a big Christmas astro-turf teddy bear...I gave it to my roommate and he used a staple gun to staple it to our ceiling...it was scarey...I don't know what the hell my step-grandmother was thinking when she bought that.

No way. I think that is extremely tacky. When I give a gift to someone, I give it because I mean it from my heart and personally selected something to express my feelings for that person. One time a close friend gave me a regifted birthday present, and when I found out I was really hurt. I would appreciate a nice card a lot more.

Actually,l got a big box of chocolates from Europe that I have had in the past and they are always delicious. Unfortunately, I am trying to lose weight so I gave it to the front office and they were delighted. There was plenty of chocolate to go around and nobody overate.

Certainly, if I thought the new recipient would like it. I think of it as recycling. Do it if you want, just not where the person who gave it to you will see it.
