I'm guessing you mean zebra danios, right?

Or is it something else? There are lots of "zebra" fish but I'm going to guess its a danio :)

Anyway, they are prolific breeders. They are somewhat unique among little schoolers, as they are quite loyal theirs mates... Pairs remain together.

If you have a community tank, the fry are likely to be eaten, just fyi.

The female will look very fat when she is full of eggs and ready to breed. In proper conditions, they should readily breed - the male will follow the female to fertilize the eggs she drops. Temp should be 78F. They will drop their 300-500 eggs over the gravel, they're white, and will fall between the rocks and the eggs will safe from the hungry parents... You should remove all the other fish from the tank, including the parents - they will eat the fry.

The fry will hatch in two days. They are very tiny, and can easily be lost when changing water, so take care when maintaining the grow-out tank. Feed the young commercially prepared fry food, or finely crushed dry foods. Powdered egg may also be added to the fry food to promote growth.
