I'm not married, but I've been with my bf for 6 1/2 yrs, we have lived together for 3 and have a 7 1/2 month old daughter and he is great. He always helps me with the housework. He does all the laundry, he helps with the dishes, and all of the other work too. He also helps me with the baby every spare minute he has. After he gets off work(I've not went back yet, don't know when I will) he gives me at least an hour break, then after me and the baby goes to bed he usually stays up for about an hour just cleaning and straightening up. Oh yeah, he always cleans both of the bathrooms, I've not had to clean one since we moved in together. I'm a very, very lucky girl!!! I love him more than anything, he is my rock. My father and his father are also like that.

Yes! It's not always consistent, but he does a lot. He mops up the front room when I ask him to (he does such a good job of it) and he does a lot without my asking - like laundry, dishes etc. Usually once or twice a week he'll just pick up and do those things. This is after 10 years of marriage. He does it on his own. I don't have to nag - just remind him.

my ex husband did help. he would do the daily "light" cleaning like dishes, making the bed and work around the house and i would do the heavier cleaning on the weekends. we still didnt agree on it so finally got a cleaning service every 2 weeks and that ended that conflict. i highly recommend it if you are both working. who wants to spend their time cleaning when you work really hard all week? life is too short and relationships have sooo many other "conflicts" that solving the cleaning issue can be real simple.

Only when I am sick. He does take out the trash most of the time without me asking. He does all the outside work around the house so it is only fair if I did the inside. I am a old fashion girl. I believe in old fashion values

If he is in the mood yes, otherwise no!! I think it is about setting the rules from day 1 about what is and is not acceptable. A friend of mine does this and never has any problems - I unfortunately missed the boat and am now paying the price for it!!

No. He does nothing inside our home. He won't even take out the garbage. He says this is womens work. But, my little revenge is that all the farm work is mens work. I get out of all of that except when the garden is ready to pick.
