All cav's are 5x100 bolt patern.
In reply to the post below me: you, sir, are incorrect. Every J-body ever made was 5x100 bolt pattern. Same with all L-bodies and early N-bodies. There are no exceptions. In fact, I'm willing to go as far as saying from 1984-2004 every American sold GM car actually designed by GM (metro was an isuzu, prism was a toyota, etc), save for Saturn, was either a 5x100, 5x115, or 5x120 bolt pattern.
Don't believe me? go to http://www.tirerack.com - they're pretty accurate. Just start picking random GM cars.

There are 5 lugs on each wheel. I have owned plenty of cavaliers, great car, very dependable.

depends on the year of car older ones had a 4 bolt pat newer ones have a 5 bolt pat also older ones used 13 inch tires newer use 14 inch tires
